Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting | Desert Wine Shop
The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce invites you to the grand opening party of Desert Wine Shop in La Quinta. The ribbon-cutting ceremony starts at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10th and will take place at 78446 Highway 111, La Quinta, CA 92253. The Desert Wine Shop, located at the northwest corner of Highway 111 and Washington Street in La Quinta, is a boutique wine shop featuring a fun Tasting Bar situated along the backdrop of a large mural showcasing notable Coachella Valley landmarks and cities, a quaint patio with outdoor seating and a unique selection of wines from around the world. The Desert Wine Shop hosts two tastings weekly: A Taste for Tuesdays every Tuesday, and the Finally Friday tasting on Fridays. Both tastings begin at 4:30 p.m. For $10, you?ll have the opportunity to taste a few different wines while being guided through the tasting in order to receive insights into the regions and historical backgrounds of those wines. In addition to the Tuesday and Friday tasting events, Desert Wine Shop also selects a few featured wines by the glass each day.

Mayor Donna Griffith, City Manager Chris Freeland, and Staff from Economic Development, Community Development and Finance will be on hand to answer your questions. Open House | Braille Institute Coachella Valley
The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce invites you to the open house at Braille Institute Coachella Valley. The ribbon-cutting ceremony starts at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 4th and will take place at 74-245 Highway 111, Palm Desert, CA 92260. The Braille Institute will be holding an open house to present awards to two of their students. The presentation will be held at 5p.m. This Open House is a demonstration of their services to both the Spanish and English communities and will be presenting the honors in both languages. Their goal it to help introduce their free services to the local Hispanic communities. Braille Institute provides free services to people with low to no vision. Our mission is to give people with limited vision the skills to live life independently. For more information on the Braille Institute.
