Born and raised in Mexico City, Maria (Mar) attended college at Temple University in Pennsylvania. Graduating with a degree in Business, Mar opted for volunteering for a NGO based out of Cambodia after college graduation. During her time spent during humanitarian work, she learned the best way to help others is to create jobs and to build a community where everyone has a skill and collaborates with each other to thrive. Upon her return, Maria dedicated her life to nurturing businesses, striving to provide an outstanding service to her clients and building relationships with her team and the community. Paper Doll Interiors, was previously owned by Barbara Lawrence who dedicated her life since 1972 to serve the community of Coachella Valley, and then sold the business to Maria in 2021. Today as owner of Paper Doll Interiors in La Quinta, Mar strives to honor Barbara’s legacy by continuing to provide an outstanding service to new and existing clients.
